New electronic tool helps customers to get faster access to notaries

A new electronic tool will help customers using the eNotaras system to get legal services from notaries even faster.

"For our customers' convenience and even greater efficiency of notaries' activities, the Chamber of Notaries of Lithuania has created a new functionality in the eNotaras system, which enables the client to speed up the search for a notary," says the president of the Chamber of Lithuanian Notaries, Klaipėda notary Marius Stračkaitis. According to him, after successfully installing and testing the new functionality, hundreds of customers have already used it.

Customers were already used to connecting to the eNotaras system and creating accounts, choosing the desired notary or notary office, ordering notary services and deciding whether to visit the notary office in person or access the notary remotely. The new functionality informs notaries that the client is looking for a service.

In addition to the already existing functionalities, clients connected to the eNotaras system have a new opportunity to choose any notary office for remote action. In this case, the system algorithm will select one of the notaries working throughout the territory of Lithuania for the client.

From July 1, 2021, when the possibility to perform remote notarial acts came into force, until September 1, 2023, more than 40 thousand of them were performed remotely. Most of the time, clients request notaries to confirm real estate transfer and mortgage and pledge transactions and authorizations remotely through the eNotaras electronic system, although most notarial actions are performed.
