Lithuanian population negative towards same-sex partnerships and marriages - opinion poll

According to survey, 74 per cent of respondents are against and 11 in favor of proposals that the same-sex partnership could be registered. Even more, 80 per cent are against and 7 per cent in favor of proposals that same-sex marriages could be registered. 

Meanwhile, 40 per cent of respondents favor the proposal that notaries could register different sex marriages, 33 per cent are against. Almost similar rate of approval applies to proposals that notaries could register the different sex partnerships - 39 per cent in favor, 35 against.

According to the poll, 64 per cent of respondents are favorable towards proposal that notaries could divorce couples if there were no dispute and underage children.
