Lithuanian notaries' President attends a conference in Kiev, hands over charity

The international scientific and training conference was held by Institute of Law Theory Researches in Jurisprudence and Innovative Projects, specializing in notarial issues. 

Mr. Michel Merlotti, a chairman of the International Notarial Co-operation Commission of the International Union of Notaries, has delivered a presentation on deontology, notary moral and ethic standards, principles of Latin notariate. Mr. Stračkaitis delivered a presentation about qualification improvement system for notaries in Lithuania

M. Merlotti and M. Stračkaitis also payed a visit to Ukrainian Chamber of Notaries where they met its Chairperson Natalya Vasilyna, members of the board and representatives of the public organization - Notariate academy.

M. Stračkaitis handed over a charity worth 3 thousand euros, donated by Lithuanian notaries to their Ukrainian colleagues, who had suffered from displacement and loss of job caused by Russia's annexation of Crimea and Russia-supported separatist war in the South-East Ukraine.

M. Stračkaitis also visited Lithuanian Embassy in Kiev,  where conversation with Ambassador Petras Vaitiekūnas and Minister Councellor Gvidas Kerušauskas took place. They have discussed the Lithuanian and Ukrainian notaries' intentions to co-operate, political, economic and legal affairs.
