Lithuanian notaries commemorate 20th Anniversary of Latin notariat in the country

The conference was attended by the President of International Union of Notaries (UINL), Mr. Jean-Paul Decorps, the President of Council of Notariats of European Union (CNUE) Mr. Tilman Götte, the President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Notaries, Mr. Frank Molitor,  notarial delegations from German city of Koblenz, Estonia, Latvia, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

The principles of Latin notariat have been inplemented in Lithuania after a major legal reform, empowered by the Law on Notariat, which took effect on December 1, 1992.

As of December 1, 2012, 269 civil notaries were working in Lithuania.
