Delegation of Hungarian notaries, headed by Adam Toth (2nd left) visits Vilnius
Hungarian notary Adam Toth, who chaired the Council of Notaries of the European Union (CNUE) in 2021, ended his term of office by visiting Vilnius.
The delegation of the Hungarian notaries met with the President of the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries Marius Stračkaitis and the specialists of the Chamber.
During the conversation, a lot of attention was paid to the innovation of the Lithuanian notariate - the remote approval of notarial acts through the electronic system eNotaras of the Chamber of Notaries, which was legalized in July 2021.
Representatives of Hungarian and Lithuanian notaries also discussed the topicalities and co-operation of notaries throughout Europe, the development of the competence of notaries, the relations and rivalries between civil law and the legal norms of the European Union.
The Presidency of the Council of Notaries of the European Union rotates annually and is chaired by a delegated representative of another Member State. Starting with January 2022, Italian notary Gianpaolo Marcoz takes office of the head of the CNUE.
