German and Swiss notaries awarded for their support to Lithuanian notariate

In accordance to resolution of the Presidium of the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries, Judiciary councilor (Justizrat) Hanns – Dieter Lohnes, former President of Koblenz Chamber of Notaries, Judiciary councilor (Justizrat) Richard Bock, President of Koblenz Chamber of Notaries, Vice President of German Federal Chamber of Notaries, and Mr. Michel Merlotti, President of UINL International Notarial Cooperation Commission, were awarded with the commemorative medal of Juozas Vilkutaitis-Keturakis.

The awards ceremony took place in Vilnius on December 2, during the international conference on the occasion of the 450th Anniversary of Notariate in Lithuania.

Mr. Lohnes, Mr. Bock and Mr. Merlotti were nominated for this award considering their valuable contribution towards implementation of principles of Latin notariate in Lithuania, assistance to notariate of Lithuania during a major legal reform, empowered by the Law on Notariate, active cooperation and strengthening the role of notarial profession in Lithuania and abroad.
