French Supreme Court judge visits Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries

On December 1, 2021,  Estelle Jond-Necand, a judge of civil cases of the Court of cassation from France, visited the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries.

The judge met a member of the Presidium of the Chamber of Notaries, Vilnius notary Dainius Palaima. The French judge was interested in the structure of the Lithuanian notary, the requirements for persons wishing to become a notary in Lithuania, the activities of the Court of Honor, the competencies of notaries and other issues related to the activities of notaries.

The visit of Estelle Jond-Necand was a part of larger stay in Lithuania according to the program of judges of the Supreme Courts of the European Union. During the week-long exchange, the judge visited the Supreme Court of Lithuania, other courts, observed court hearings, communicated with judges, members of the judiciary and other institutions.
