The French delegation was led by Saint Denis city notary Pierre-Luc Vogel, who is expected to take over the position of CNUE President in 2019. CNUE is presided by member countries, which rotate annualy. Next year French notaries will take over the CNUE Presidency from German colleagues, who are in charge of organization in 2018.
While meeting Lithuanian colleagues in Vilnius, Mr. Vogel introduced the ongoing notarial reforms in France, which include increasing number of notaries. French delegation told Lithuanian counterparts about the policies of notarial tarrifs in France, use of IT in notarial work, interaction with country's Ministry of Justice.
President of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries Marius Stračkaitis introduced the situation around Lithuanian notariat, the intesections between notarial and competition laws. He presented the development of the Chamber-sponsored eNotaras (electronic notary) project, which will provide unique applications for daily notarial work and better interface for online clients.
