Klaipėda notary Marius Stračkaitis re-elected as President of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries for another four-year term

Marius Stračkaitis, Notary of the 1st Notary Bureau of Klaipėda City, will head the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries for another four-year term. He was re-elected as the President of the professional association by the participants of the General Meeting of the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries held on 5 October in Vilnius.

Rasa Birutienė, notary of the 14th Notary Office of Vilnius City, also ran for the post of the President. During the secret ballot 140 notaries voted for M. Stračkaitis and 59 for R. Birutiene.

Daiva Lukaševičiūtė-Binkulienė, notary of the 2nd Notary Bureau of Vilnius City, was re-elected as the Vice President of the Chamber of Notaries for a new term of office, with 133 notaries voting for her. Vaidota Majūtė, notary of Ukmergė District 3rd Notary Office, also ran for the position of Vice President, 68 notaries voted for her.

The General Meeting has also approve the Presidium of Chamber of Notaries other decisions were taken.

Currently there are 200 notary bureaus in Lithuania employing 226 notaries.
